  • Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
  • Vomiting/Diarrhea

Is CyberCare appropriate for all conditions?

CyberCare is designed to handle non-life-threatening/non-emergency medical issues. • Emergency conditions like Chest Pain
  • Shortness of Breath
  • Broken Bones
  • Dermatology
  • Prescribing Narcotics

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Can a Provider Prescribe Medication?

If a CyberCare provider believes medication is warranted, he or she can write a prescription for non-narcotic medications (i.e., no controlled substances like Opiods, Adderall, Testosterone, Gabapentin), which can be sent directly to the pharmacy of your choice. All prescriptions are fully compliant and include all required information. (If your pharmacy of choice is closed at the time of your CyberCare appointment, the patient may come to UCVH to pick up enough doses of medication until the pharmacy opens. The patient will receive a separate bill for these medications.)

When is CyberCare Offered:

CyberCare appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, seven days a week, including holidays and weekends.

How to Access CyberCare:

Patients (new or existing) can CALL (603) 388-4133, between the hours of 1:30 PM and 6:30 PM, ON THE DAY YOU WISH TO BE SEEN. Appointments are made for the same day only, on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointments are not able to be made days in advance.

Who is Eligible for CyberCare:

Patients who are physically located in Maine, New Hampshire or Vermont at the time of their CyberCare appointment and who are experiencing one of the conditions or symptoms listed in the covered conditions above, will be eligible for CyberCare.

Patients must be ages 36 months old and above to be eligible for CyberCare. (ALL patients under the age of 18 need to be seen with an adult present.)

What is the cost of CyberCare and can I use my insurance?

CyberCare is a $50 charge and is covered by most major insurance plans under a tele-health benefit. Verify with your insurance for the tele-health benefits under your plan. Self-pay patients are eligible for the uninsured discount. If medications are supplied by UCVH, those charges are extra and not included in the $50 visit.

Is CyberCare private?

Yes, CyberCare is private. CyberCare is compliant with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and will only share your information with your selected provider and pharmacy.

Why Is This Program Being Developed?

Not everyone has the opportunity to attend a primary care visit during traditional business hours. Instead of patients not receiving care or visiting an Emergency Department unnecessarily, the CyberCare program will provide additional access to patients. Access to medical care has frequently been cited as a need in area Community Health Needs Assessments.
