The Dietary Department provides homemade, nutritious food to patients, staff and visitors. Our trained staff maintains high standards of sanitation, production and service to all customers. Patient meals are served at the following times: Breakfast 8:00am, Lunch 12:00noon, Dinner 5:00pm. Guests and visitors are welcome in the cafeteria for grab and go items during our open hours. A hot lunch meal is available from 12:00noon to 1:15pm daily along with a full salad bar Monday thru Friday.
In addition to providing homecooked food, the Dietary Department is actively working to increase the purchase of local food items for use in the cafeteria. Through this initiative we hope to keep more money in our community and provide a higher quality, more nutritious product. To assist in these efforts, a Harvest of the Month Program (www.nhfarmtoschool.org) was implemented in 2017 in conjunction with the local, SAU7 Farm to School initiative. The Program features a different local vegetable each month which is incorporated into the cafeteria menu. A food waste diversion project is also in the planning stages to reduce our environmental impact associated with landfill use.
