Dr. Tom Cochran named Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital Medical Director

Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital, a proud affiliate of North Country Healthcare (NCH), is pleased to announce that Dr. Tom Cochran, Emergency Department physician, has been named the Hospital’s Chief Medical Officer. Board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Cochran completed his Residency at Maine Medical Center.

Dr. Cochran began treating patients at UCVH in 2011, as a per diem physician. He was living in Keene, New Hampshire at the time, and worked full-time at Cheshire Medical Center. He became the full-time Emergency Department Director at UCVH in 2016.

Dr. Cochran’s clinical interests include wilderness medicine and lifestyle medicine (nutrition, physical fitness and wellness). Having grown up in a small New Hampshire town, he loves practicing in a rural area. Dr. Cochran is an avid backcountry skier, and mountain- and road biker. His wife, Alexis, is also an Emergency Medicine physician at UCVH.
