New Chief Executive Officer of NCH

ThomasThe Board of Trustees of North Country Healthcare (NCH) is pleased to announce that, following an extensive nationwide search, it has selected Thomas Mee, RN, BSN, MBA, as its new Chief Executive Officer.  

Mr. Mee comes to NCH with more than 30 years of experience in health care administration.  He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1985 from Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan, and his Master of Business Administration in Finance in 1990 from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

Most recently, Mr. Mee served as President and Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Greater Lansing in Flint, Michigan, a branch of McLaren Health Care, mid-Michigan’s largest health care system.  During his tenure,  he was recognized as “Healthcare Leader of the Year in 2017” by the Michigan Hospital Association.  Mr. Mee also held the positions of Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Operations, and Chief Nursing Officer at McLaren.

Prior to joining McLaren in 2008, Mr. Mee served as the Vice President of Physician Services at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oaks, Michigan. He has also served as an Adjunct Instructor at both Michigan State University and Oakland University.

Mr. Mee’s family includes his wife Karen of 31 years, his 27-year- old daughter Samantha, and his 24-year-old son Stephen.  He is additionally blessed with a 2-year-old grandson named Hayden.

The NCH Board of Trustees thanks Dr. Edward Duffy for his excellent interim leadership over the last nine months and who will continue to serve as Interim CEO until Mr. Mee’s start date of March 4, 2019. 

North Country Healthcare is the parent organization of four Critical Access Hospitals and one home health agency in Northern New Hampshire.  The member organizations include Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, Littleton Regional Healthcare in Littleton, Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook, Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, and North Country Home Health and Hospice Agency in Littleton.  North Country Healthcare is comprised of 1,400 workforce members and is the largest employer in the North Country.
