Our volunteers receive free meals and snacks if they are assisting around meal times. Those who are retirement age may join the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and become eligible for mileage reimbursement from that organization. After completing 500 hours of volunteer service they are eligible to purchase certain prescription from our pharmacy at discount prices. Our volunteers are honored each spring at a Volunteer Recognition Dinner to acknowledge their contributions and dedication.
More volunteers are needed and welcomed to join our team. Our goal is always to find the right fit for new volunteers to ensure they feel valued and have meaningful assignments. A retired teacher who once volunteered for us said, “I love my volunteer work at UCVH as I feel my time and skills are being recycled and I am loving it”. Members of the community who have an interest in volunteering are encouraged to call our Volunteer Manager at (603) 388-4292.
